Three faces. by Lewis Cooper

Interesting, Lewis. I think I’ve seen those lips on the right a few times.

Well Lew it looks fine to me as it is , it’s frustrating when we loose interest in a pice of work . Definitely something different I would not have thought it was yours , it’s a good piece of work and good thing your experimenting .

A good trio - God knows why women are distorting themselves like your third character

Thank you Marjorie and Paul. Yes Marjorie, you see those lips on practically every pop-art pic. I thought I'd stick them on a very loosely drawn and miss-shaped face...didn't like it, and other things, three weeks ago when I painted it...must have grown on me a bit.

Eye catching, and different!

It's almost Picasso meets the 60s meets the symbolists, and yet somehow it comes over as art deco. Well done.

I really like this Lewis, very interesting.

Love the different styles, super colours, all well painted.

I like the different styles going on here in one image Lew. Quite a feat accomplished

Very effective piece, love the contrasts.

Very interesting expressions.

Great and different

Trying something different for me. Three faces in different styles. I was going to work on it a little more, but lost interest. Doesn't look quite so bad after a few weeks, so I'm posting it. Mostly gouache.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
