Very striking piece Lewis - Love the bright colour blocks.

Super colours, Lewis.

This is fantastic Lewis.

Lovely colours in the headgear and that slightly sullen look!

Great colour palette. I only have one piece of abstract/modern art hanging in our house but it is the painting that has caused the most comments and discussion.

Thanks for your comments about my odd painting. Abstract art is out of my comfort zone, but I like quite a lot...I've admired Alita Porters work on POL recently. Sometimes you just like stuff, there's no need to analyse why. I have to say some leaves me stone cold. Rothko's work for one. I guess like any kind of art, it appeals or it doesn't.

Very different. I can imagine plenty activity and discussion around that one Lewis. Nice work as ever.

Striking image. Puts me in mind of a lady cosmonaut.

Yes, Tony A...now you mention it, she does look like she's got a helmet on. It wasn't intended, and I hadn't noticed it before.

Very colourful Lewis 😀

Very interesting Lewis, I think she's posing for a selfie!!

Really like this, Lewis, sketch books are where the ideas materialise, eh! I don't understand abstract art, either. Like you it either appeals or I leave well alone!

Love this one Lewis! I know that the style is different but it makes me think of Klimt's work.

I like some abstract art, but don't really understand it. I find it appeals to me (can't explain why), or it doesn't. I came across an artist painting pictures like this...geometric/odd shapes but always with a realistic face or figure among the shapes. I thought I'd have a go. I didn't copy one of his pictures, but nicked the concept. I suppose it's neither one thing nor the other, really. But it was a fun thing to do, and it's me messing around in my A3 sketchbook. Watercolour and pen.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
