It tells the story really well and a great composition of really good characters

This is a cracker Lew, with great storytelling!

All aboard for a great adventure Lewis!

This is brilliant, Lewis, love it!

I read about the thoughts behind this and the different ways you were looking at achieving the end piece, all I can say is it’s superb and as a film poster it would attract attention . They figures are excellent as is the ship and all held together beautifully by the rough sea. What’s the film The Tempest and the temptress .

The waves bring this together in a way that was missing in the early sketches shown in the Forum. Well done.

It certainly tells a story Lewis. Beautiful colour in that water.

Super 👌 love it ✔️

Great stuff Lewis, it turned out beautifully.

Absolutely stunning Lewis, what a fantastic result.

It definitely has that movie style poster about it Lewis, it really is super.

Love this innovative painting Lewis. It has ll the ingredients of success.

Thanks very much folks, your comments and encouragement are much appreciated. I’m liking acrylics although I’m slow using them…just have to get used to that.

Great movie style poster, superb artwork.

A very well thought out composition and great story telling - you certainly seem to have got a handle on acrylics.

This is quite a size Lewis and very dramatic!

Superb Lewis. A great poster.

This must look fantastic in the flesh at this size Lewis. Love the way you have painted the water, linking all the characters together. I thought of you yesterday, I friend loaned me a book by Sir Alasdair Hilleary ‘loon’ who is her nephew. It was full of his characterisations of sporting calamities…..very funny. Are you familiar with his work?

Thanks again to all for your great response to this picture. Fiona-I don’t know that cartoonist, I’ve had a quick look and will look properly later. There’s so many great cartoonists, and artists, it’s always great to find a new one.

Would make a great poster, well done, Lewis

Great imagination, great painting.

Absolutely amazing, I am awestruck by your work, imaginative and creativity.

Absolutely monumental, brilliant work.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
