Thank you everyone for your encouraging comments! @Frank - it turned out to be much easier to get form in patterned clothing. In my case the dress is pitch black, so that I did not touch (i.e. kept just thick blue-brown). Now, for the pattern it was really easy: in places it should be brighter to construct the volume of the form, I just made the pattern brighter - that's it. It is much harder when your dress is solid, as you need to paint transitions which need to look smooth. Here no smoothness is needed, just add/remove brightness to the pattern, and as the pattern is very thin, no transition is needed and it is very simple thing to do. You can try it.

Unfortunately this website somehow decreased severely the quality of my paintings, don't know why. In the picture on my phone much more detail is seen than here :(
