Eve and Adam in the Garden of Eden

Comments

I've been always amazed by this significant moment described in the Torah (Old Testament). How in just one instant, when Eve took the first small bite of the forbidden fruit, she suddenly realized everything at once. Adam has not yet tasted it and is completely innocent, busy with conventional fruits. In my picture there are two parts at the same time: complete knowledge of things (on the left) and complete innocence (on the right). This is also the moment of coexistence of serenity, peace and tranquillity of our irrevocable past, the childhood of our world - on the right, and the turmoil, bustle, anxiety, endless passions and unfulfilled desires of our present, adult world - on the left. The time axis t is directed from left to right, and therefore very soon, perhaps in just a few seconds, the calm and harmony of a happy world without passions will disappear forever. Adam has only a couple of seconds left to enjoy his happy life, which will be closed forever both for him and for all his unfortunate descendants.
