Thank you Sylvia.If you know where this stadium is then you will realize that the if this man is standing where he is then he should have been covered with 100 m of ocean water.It is my little attempt to highlight the dangers of what global warming can do.Where he is standing is thus the ocean floor turned into a desert.One small plant in the bottom middle is trying its utmost to resist.Durban is the most humid beach city in South Africa and for this reason I chose it to represent or become a desert city.

No Lenerd I do not know this area. I spent some painting time in Namibia where the same is true.

Hopefully this picture I painted will not come true in 50 years.I spent 2 years in Namibia during the Angolan Border Bush War.I want to go back there and do some painting in the Okavango.

Whatever you do keep painting! I feel there is an obvious talent there as well as the desperate drive to get across a strong message.

900 x 600 Oil on canvas.The majestic soccer stadium in Durban which was used for the recent Fifa World Cup in contrast with the ordinary poor people who also hoped for an improvement in living quality.Did it materialized?
