Like it, good experiment, works well and certainly took my eyes to it.

Dave Pilgram- Artist, Hi Dawn, a really good effort/experiment, you have achieved good distance with the colour and tones of your distant mountain, also keeping the water and sky different tones as I advised has also worked well. Keeping a simple sky draws the viewer to the mountains and water. My only two concerns would be the white lines over the whole of the lake, I think I would have done them from the forground to about midway. My other comment would be your reflections, they really do have to be a mirror of what is above, or it looks wrong. I hope my comments will be of help to you and well done. Dave Pilgram

Dawn Chapman sent in her version of this month's painting project saying: 'For this watercolour I used only four colours being Ultramarine, Light Red, Lemon Yellow and Burnt Umber. I painted this in blocks of colour , it was a bit of an experiment. I quite like the old railway posters that are painted in blocks of colour and this is my first attempt with this style of painting'.
