Gill Hellewell sent in her version of the summer painting project saying: 'This was quite a challenge to achieve the right proportions and angles, plus knowing how to 'fill in' the areas around the buildings. Because of the location, I used gouche paint as it is more vibrant than watercolour, and I also used some oil pastels for finishing off. Four colours were used - Ultramarime Blue, Crimson Red, Yellow Ochre and Raw Sienna. I also used an Edding fine pen to draw some of the artwork after I finished painting the scene'.
