Very nice so atmospheric

Good soft colouring and the addition of the puddles and reflection add a lift to the painting.

lovely painting, prefer the pastel with puddles, love the colours and although it is the edge of the wood, it somehow also looks soft. well done

Graham Cox sent in his version of Jenny's project saying: 'This has been done with Unison soft pastels on Hahnemuehle Lana Colours 160gsm Dark Grey pastel paper. I have softly blended some distant blue greens into the surface of the paper using the heal of my hand. This gives a nice under painting to work back into, (similar to a first wash in watercolour). I have then gone back in using the flat side of a pastel, working across the grain of the paper which gives a lovey foliage texture very easily. I have tried to create a "lead in" using the puddles along the pathway to take the viewers eye into my picture. For the final touch I have scraped some tiny fragments of green highlights across the foliage at the top and on the bush on the left.'
