Therese Ellis says: 'I have recently been attracted to pastels and this was an interesting opportunity to try them. It was done with a mix of pencil pastels and soft ones. The hardest bit was to interpret the colours as I could sometimes see blues, sometimes purples and even yellows. I am used to working with watercolours, from light to dark and was amazed to see that whites can be added later and look quite natural'.
