The Old Cart by Leisure Painter

Smashing painting especially from the trees forwards. The stream and bank are really good and the dark bank pulls you into the painting and i love that inquisitive sheep heading down to the water. The cart is excellent especially the wonky wheels. I think I'd have toned down the far edge of the field a little and put a bit more green into the background or even lost it completely but it still works; over on the far right it looks like a patch of scrub land just perfect where the stream goes round.

thankyou for your comments Diana! I totaly agree with you about the background. When I completed the painting I thought it needed a bit more colour, but being guilty of over fiddling, I thought it best to leave it alone!!!
