Roger Blackwell sent in his version of Elena's painting project saying: 'This was an interesting project in painting a unified image. Having drawn the window on one side I traced it and reversed it. I painted the surrounding boards and used a ruling pen for the square window. Matched the colours of the stained glass window and dropped wet into wet in some places. The scene through the window was painted and when dry used a watercolour pencil to draw diagonal lines over it to simulate glass.'
