Roger Blackwell sent in his version of this month's project saying: ' I used a Derwent water soluble sketching pencil, sharpened with a craft knife and also fine sandpaper to keep the point. I did not use water but preferred to keep the drawing dry and preserve the lines to represent hairs and with a faint suggestion of tall trees in the background - would have liked to have used pastel pencils which is my favourite medium for animal studies, however I have tried to follow the brief as near as possible'
