I love the stormy sky and the feeling of everything being drenched. The light peeping over the mountain suggests they rain may stop soon! It is a wonderful painting.

That's Wales all right.... very effective use of granulation, which gives that sort of textured feel I always associate with Wales: there's something gritty and enduring about the place.
