A highland scene

Don't know if it does or not, but I do like to see paintings created from imagination, or life, rather than copying a photo. Nice one!

Nice one, you've thought hard about the direction of light and shadows here. I think I'd personally prefer the edges of the shadows to be a bit softer and a bit more shadow on the front left cow but its does work .

I do look forward to your latest postings. I just love the style you achieve. This one is great!

Thanks for your comments much appreciated...I see what you mean about the shadows Diane they should have been a lot softer...The shadows were difficult on that side of the painting, I wanted the mountains to be dark and the sunshine on the righty side of the valley! The shadows had to balance the tone and provide form...Thanks again for taking the time to look...Regards .. Steve

We often get stopped on the road by the highland cattle - their horns are huge! - the view is something like this????? I love the loose way you have used the watercolour.
