Lovely greens, so Summer!

A wonderful example of painting greenery - a colour I and a lot of people struggle with. You have introduced a lovely range of tones and shades to produce a light filled painting with great depth.

Splendid work, Pat! You've captured the recession beautifully, and I agree with Thea - excellent use of greens!

Thank you Carole and Thea. Yes, greens can be a challenge. An old master is said to have told his apprentices to make their greens dirty. So I never use greens straight from the tube any more.

Lovely Summer scene Pat! I particularly like the yellow of the field against your darkest greens. Very eye catching.

This painting is the result of a challenge set by the leader of our art club. We were presented with a photograph to work from. It was painted in acrylics on a 18x24cm canvas panel https://landscapeartuk.wordpress.com/19-2/landscapes/
