Thanks for writing in. The name Hardenstein is a bit of a give-away isn´t it. Yes, it is in Germany near the twin town of the London Borough of Barking&Dagenham.

Pat I know this place. I live near by. My latest painting is showing the tower of the same castle ruin. However actually the trees are not fully green as on you summer painting. You met the scene very well. Greetings from Witten Germany!
