Bowl and fruit

Love the gentle treatment of the fruit. Those grapes look so luscious. Very clever use of light and such a gentle focus on the painting Kylia.

Thanks Carole. I think what I found particularly challenging about this still life was depicting the 'bloom' on the grapes and differentiating that from tonal marks describing the grapes' shape. But then every painting has its own challenges I suppose, and that's what keeps the artistic journey interesting ...

You did well with the soft shine on the grapes - and on the other fruit. Too often the shine is overstated.
