I've forgotten what those big yellow flowers are called - some sort of marigold? - but that's just the colour they are.

I was going to add, but my cufflink hit the wrong key and it all zipped away from me, that the bottom third of this painting would make a complete work in its own right. I know what you mean about painting in public, and honesty compels me to admit that I rarely do it, but I think if you did get comments they'd all be praise.

Hello Robert, I thought I had bitten off more than I could chew with the bottom third! Just had a brush with shingles so have not felt like painting for a few weeks. Glad to have got something down on canvas. They are evening primrose I think.

Beautifully realistic Karyn.

Brilliant detail, the bottom half reminds me of work by Albrecht Durer, stunning!

Karyn Fox

Have returned after a bit of a battle, since last December, with a surprise brain tumour. Had surgery, just before lockdown, to remove the sizeable critter and now need to get back to a bit of painting. So start off with a bit of iPad painting to try and get in the swing of things.
