Love the effect of just the sea in colour, Karyn.

Very fine work, the touch of colour adds greatly to your drawings.

Thank you. I wasn’t that sure about the addition of colour to be honest but husband had given it the thumbs up.

Beautiful drawing with just that touch of colour to set it off. Hope I'm not speaking out of turn, but as an inveterate plein air sketcher and painter, people either ignore you or admire your work outside. in all my long years at least 30, doing p a, I've only heard one criticism. I say ...Go for it Karyn, there is absolutely no substitute as you learn so much!

Two great studies. I was put off for life when I was at school, we made a trip to the Science Museum and a boy from another school thought I was useless! Never worked out of doors since. So you carry on and do what you are doing so well. GOOD LUCK.

Great drawings Karyn. I'm the same re plein air - I'm happy to be passed by one or two people, but the idea of a city terrifies me and I've yet to try. Like Thalia says below, others have said that people either completely ignore you (the most part) and the one or two that are interested do sort of say oooh and the appropriate ah's. If they don't like it they tend to just walk on!! But still, I've yet to conquer those towns and cities......

I love the addition of the blue for the sea Karyn lovely style.

These are lovely sketches, the blue emphasises the cold -not that we need that!

I really like these Karen., love the colour of the sea, such a great contrast.

These really stand out on the gallery page Karyn, very striking and well done.

very convincing sketches, like the selected use of colour

The blue of the sea made me want to take a closer look. I'm glad I did, they're very attractive drawings.

About the Artist
Karyn Fox

Have returned after a bit of a battle, since last December, with a surprise brain tumour. Had surgery, just before lockdown, to remove the sizeable critter and now need to get back to a bit of painting. So start off with a bit of iPad painting to try and get in the swing of things.
