Bluebell Wood

The sort of painting that cheers one up - some would probably say that this is 'too pretty', but I don't agree; it isn't nature red in tooth and claw, it's not completely 'real', but that's just a matter of style. The fact remains that it - and the same is true of your other paintings - is suffused with light and marvellous colour, and it makes me feel better for looking at it. I like the way you've worked your signature into the painting too; I feel you have a fresh and enthusiastic eye for the world around you, and that this is reflected in your work - and if you can get that sort of insight across, you've achieved something.

At first glance i thought this was watercolour, which makes it even bettter to discover it's actually acrylics! Yes, as Robert says, it may be a bit "too" pretty - but maybe we need pretty things in this world, so i welcome it. Well done!
