Forget the truth.

A striking image, and I like your choice of colour. She has a questioning look. Great stuff Michael.

A great painting - eye catching, fab use of colours and those eyes and lips, wow! Something of the night about her.

Haunting image. Love the colour choices

There is so much within this interesting face, which captivates the imagination Michael.

Thank you Heather, Martin and Carole.

Unusual and very effective, Michael!

You would think these colours wouldn’t work for a portrait Michael, but they add something unique. Love everything about it. I love the way you have painted her eyes, they are simmering with something.

Thank you Fiona. I’m over-reflecting the background colour on to her face. Reflecting the background colour onto the subject was something Malcolm Coils, my neighbour and friend at the Chester Le Street Art Group, taught me early on. I’m using White Night watercolour paints, which have increased brilliance. I have plenty of surplus paints, which will far outlive me, so if you want something I’ll send it for you as you are a very nice person.

Fascinating use of colour here Michael and a very thoughtful portrait. You are fortunate to have been advised by Malcolm Coils. I’m an admirer of his work.

Thanks Tessa. Yes, Malcolm is a drawing and painting technician. His talent is awesome.

You are very kind and very generous Michael thank you for the offer. I’m okay at the moment but will let you know if my supplies run low. Anyway, I want you to live a long and productive life to use them up…..and beyond! I would like to know who started the rumour that I’m a nice person?! It’s not true! 😂

Thanks Coral, Fiona and Spencer. Just let me know Fiona.

‘If you’re going to say something say something interesting ……….and don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story’, she told me. Watercolour touched with Photoshop Express.
