A record £40,000 was paid for an amateur artist's work at Chrities of London auction last night. The watercolour portrait , entitled, 'Malcolm' was the creation of the Romano-Anglo artist, Cesare Romano. When informed of the sale by a press photographer who photographed Malcolm, the subject of the painting said, 'I'm so shocked, it has totally changed my facial contours'.
