Those were the days - no traffic, no people, Woolworths on the corner and a friendly policeman. Nice watercolour and good perspective.

Watercolour. 1960s. After anonymous image. Note the police box which controlled the traffic through the first such CCTV system in Europe. I worked a few periods in there.

I was born in 1946. In the 1960s and part of the 70s I was an airman in the Royal Navy, Fleet Air Arm. I joined Durham Constabulary in 1971.
