One of your happier experiences Mick and I think the warmth of your experience comes through in the painting. I like how you have handled the mass of trees/shrubs, you've varied the colour, tones and shapes....so as not to make them look over powering.

Thanks Fiona. I need to keep reminding myself how kind people can be and Sister Mary Agnes is a good example. Perhaps another story and image.

Watercolour. Image taken from an Internet image. This would have been late 60s, early 70s. As Corporative Terrace has been demolished. My old school. My teachers, the Sisters of Mercy, we're loving and kind. In the 50s there was a regular stream of 'tramps', as they then were, coming through the playground, knocking on the convent door and being given refreshment by the nuns. Sister Mary Gabriel was the headmistress and I recall how kind Sister Mary Agnes was to me. You should never forget kindness, or unkindness.
