I like the colours in this Michael, lovely scene.

love this mate got a kind of naïve quality , its really nice .

Thanks Carole and the Dennises. You're absolutely right about the naive quality Dennis. It does reflect my 'developing' ? ability. Although, come to think of it, I'm 70 this year and there's not much time left to develop. I live in hope. I have offered to be your student Dennis.

Yes, the colours are just right. I'm with Robert. There is always time to enjoy painting. Each time you paint it will be different. I find it exciting. I had a friend of mine in my 'studio' and I found some paintings from 3 years ago. Completely different. Quiet and sinewy ..

Thanks for your encouragement Gudrun. It's much appreciated.

Bags of time Michael to keep creating works like this from masters. I like this so much I might do my own version, now that's inspiration you have created too.

Thanks very much Derek. I hope you do have a go. The main effect was the smokey Victorian atmosphere in Manchester that Valette was so good at achieving. I really like his work and it seems an achievable style for me - impressionist, little detail etc. So I decided to follow him. I'm sure you will make a much better job of it than me. Thanks for kind comments.

OK MIchael have already downloaded his original, might start today. Never heard of him but he is a smashing artist and will view more of him.

That's great Derek. I look forward to that. Enjoy it. He actually taught Lowrey, although their styles are much different.
