I like this Kevin, I think you have managed to achieve the magnificence of a solitary male, he looks very commanding!

Heather, thanks too for your positive take on this painting. They are majestic antelope despite their small size (not unlike a roe deer in size). Without looking for excuses, the photograph hasn't really done the painting justice as despite using natural light my camera isn't depicting the colours as they really are. I'm tempted to try this same painting in wet on wet watercolour.

Love the commanding stance of this Springbok Kevin and can’t see how you can improve upon it in watercolour but then it’s a medium I really struggle with.

Carole - you're probably 100% right about not being able to improve on the springbok by attempting in in watercolour! My watercolour experience is abysmal, however, here in the UK with the plethora of excellent quality art material across all mediums, I'm just wallowing in being able to try everything!

You are building up a beautiful portfolio of paintings Kevin, this one is gorgeous, a magnificent beast.
