I like this very much and it's a challenge to paint on such a material. I live not very far from the sea and some time ago I tried out this idea as well. My effort was on a slightly different shaped pebble and I'm still using as a paperweight!

Hi Roger, I found this really good book some years ago in Nashville USA, it is called The Art of Painting Animals on Rocks the author is Lin Wellford, she has written a range of Rock painting books, this is what inspired me to try this, i would think Amazon could obtain this book if you really wanted it.
