Daisies - for National Meadows Day

Comments

I had no idea it was Meadows Day. Impressed how you have done the ferns,

Another 'yes' from me

Thank you Richard and Heather. I didn’t know until Andrea Hook posted her lovely oil painting earlier. I didn’t rush into the studio to paint, this was amongst my ‘do I need to do more’ pile!

Gorgeously gorgeous! Love the Bumblebee too Katy :-)

This is lovely Katy. I also missed out on NM Day! The splatter effect in yellow works really well.

Love that yellow splattering, those luscious ferns and the cute little bumble bee Katy. The way the daisies fade up into that lovely blue sky makes this a delightful painting.

This is quite lovely Katy, love the way you have painted it, especially the use of leaves used as stencils!!

Thank you for your lovely comments, I really got into this style of spray paint and stencils last year but the fumes make me cough so I haven’t got back to it this year, for obvious reasons.

First time I’ve heard of the NM day Katy, what a beautiful tribute to mark it.

Thank you Fiona, glad to have a reason to give this painting a viewing.

Love the array of techniques you used here, Katy. It adds depth and layers to the piece and is full of movement. It's super!

Thank you Seok, the spray paint can be quite random and does take a bit of mastering, my workshop is full of poorly aimed splattering!

Beautiful, love the way you have painted the foreground, specially ferns

Thank you Romila, I love working with ferns this way.

I missed this one Katy. It's absolutely beautiful!

Acrylic, spray acrylic and pressed leaves and grasses used as stencils. To celebrate the National Trust’s National Meadows Day. Thank you Andrea for alerting me, I had no idea.
