This is simply delightful! I'm sure your friends would be very pleased. You've captured perfectly the look and personality of these wonderful, lovable dogs - the hooded eyes, the perpetually pained expression, their ornery nature and yet, also the great affection and fun loving nature that lurks under the very dour exterior. I used to have a couple as pets, and everything in this painting is so reminiscent of their great soul.
