Beautiful capturing of this waterlogged path through to the open fields, you use of lighter tones for that field beyond works perfectly and draws us through, as do the two open gates, I know just what you mean about that first dog walk in the morning setting us up for the rest of the day!

I keep missing these, not realising that they are yours, Karyl as they are so different to your pencil work. This is a lovely painting of lush countryside with a beautiful sky. Really like it. P.S. I can't take a straight photo either and have to straighten them up in Picassa!

Before we moved up here to Scotland (11yrs ago), I used to go through these two gates and up to the woods with my dogs every morning before work, it set me up for the day, I really miss the woods as we now live 200yds from the shore. I must be on a tilt when I take these photo's, they always come out slanted.
