Yes, this really is a beauty, Karen. Well done!

He's super Karen, you have done a really good job of this.

This is an exquisite water colour Karen - especially the wing feathers

Beautifully painted ,Karen! Love the shading on the chest, and the face is superb!

Owls are not easy to paint. Wonderful technique and work here Karen, you should feel happy with this painting. Love the wings especially.

I think you have done justice to what I think you have implicitly acknowledged-that the barn owl is indeed a beautiful bird. The subtleties of the plumage have been exploited with your loose treatment, and I love some of the 'earlier' washes of yellow and pink in the white front of the owl to give a painterly feel. You have achieved a lovely painting with a faithful adherence to the owl's plumage. I like the cool greys in the tail to bring the legs forward, but some negative painting here will have given the opportunity to suggest feathering on the legs, and will have broken the grey shape up from a compositional point of view. But it's easy for me to be wise. Lovely work.
