A superb painting Karen you certainly have captured the light effects on the leaves as they can sometimes like green glass .

Watercolour 14 x 10in painted using my own sketch and photos. The sunlight coming through the trees was so beautiful on the morning of our visit to Plas Newydd and I have tried to capture this in my painting. I remembered following one of Joe Francis Dowden's step-by-step landscapes/riverscapes a couple of years ago so I went back to have a look at it and have used some of the same techniques in this painting.
