That is a beautiful painting,Karen!!

Great study. My! Those cliffs must be high, just spotted the figures. I like the pen detail on the cliffs.

Nicely done indeed Karen.

Excellent artwork Karen 🙂

I like the muted colours, the detail in the cliffs, and the whole feel of this piece. I’ve never seen this bit of coastline, I’ll have to pay a visit.

Lovely work, super use of limited colour

I love this Karen. The cliffs in particular are so well observed.

Beautifully done, the detailing of the cliff is superb.

Karen your cliff’s are wonderfully detailed, a real feeling of solidity and magnificence.

Thank you very much for all your comments everyone. Yes very high Marjorie, and definitely very solid Fiona. It's a lovely coastline and well worth a visit Andrew. I'm enjoying using limited colour Heather; it certainly aids decision-making when painting!

Lovely use of pen and ink Karen. Love how the tiny figures give your painting such an interesting scale. The markings on the cliffs are particularly good.

This is really beautiful Karen. The detailing on the cliffs is amazing!

Thank you Carole, Maureen and Spencer for your very encouraging comments.

Dip pen, Indian ink and watercolour on Bockingford CP (NOT) watercolour paper 14 x 10in. These impressive cliffs lie between Southerndown and Monknash in South Glamorgan; I've tried to include the cliffside waterfall that can sometimes be seen and two figures to show the scale of the cliffs. Exmoor is in the distance on the other side of the Bristol Channel.
