Roses
The rose bush in my garden put on a such a glorious show last year and I had been dithering about trying to capture it in watercolour. So I looked out Julie King's article ' A bunch of roses' in the December 2021 edition of Leisure Painter and had a go, this time painting several of my own roses from a reference photo. I also found her painting project on camellias in the May Leisure Painter useful too. Her advice on using variegated washes, wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques was really informative.
