Gosh - you are awfully well qualified as an artist - makes me feel very inferior! Well done you for doing all those courses, which I bet were hard work, and I wouldn't mind betting it is even harder work to find the time to draw and paint with three children. This is a great painting and super composition which encompasses all that is British.

It certainly beats the local "chippy!" Thea, the children are now 16, 19 and 23. Two at college and the eldest qualifying as an RE Teacher in summer, getting married in August and moving to Portsmouth with his wife-to-be for his first teaching post - so I do have a little more time now. Thanks for your heartening comments.

Yes, indeed, Dennis, this was done with the Coloursoft range of Derwent pencils - one of my favourites. There are some minor traces of graphite only on the underdrawing.
