Wonderful painting. I'd be hard pressed to get this level of detail in a plein air painting. The trees and the shadows are superb.

The second of my recent plein air trips out. Oil on board, completed by the boating lake in Nottingham University campus. Originally I had a red canoe on the water, but removed it as it was drawing my eye out of the picture.
