Well, I think these are fabuous. I am impressed withthe depth of colour. Perhaps, when next I do watercolour I should be bolder ....

Superb colour Joseph! Is that signature done with a fine brush or marker pen? I don't mean the trademark spot, the actual writing. I ask because I sometimes mess mine up and worry that I'll spoil a painting. I remember seeing a painting in an exhibition once where the artist had obviously painted over his signature and re done it (watercolour) and for me, spoiled the whole thing! Your's are always spot on (even the 'spot')..lol

Love the gloss on the aubergine.

Thanks for your lovely comments Gudrun, Louise and Fiona. Louise - yes the signature is a bit hit n miss for me as well. I only use watercolour for my signatures - I make sure I have plenty of colour mixed up and if possible use a brush that holds a bit and has a pointy end. Not sure if I will keep the splash dotty signature (although my family seem to like it) as it's a little bit art clubby - if you know what I mean. For the dot I load up a paint brush and stand a great height from the painting to get the sort of splash bit - I have totally missed the paper so lol it is a bit hit n miss. I think painting your signature needs confidence so I sometimes do it a couple of times first on a bit of scrap paper - and then go for it.

Thanks Joseph. I shall take your advice. I have to smile though, I have a vision of you standing on a chair and taking aim for the splash dot!!!

Great impact. I really admire the way that you are not afraid of darks and rich colour.

This went a little wrong in places so might attempt another Aubergine without the tomato and lighten up the background.
