Hi Julie, I'm loving your flower paintings they are a lovely touch of sunshine and your expertise with the palette knife is awesome! Keep them coming.

Lovely........I can smell them!

I love sweet peas, who doesn't? I really like the depth of background in your oils Julie it makes the flowers sing.

Beautiful colours Julie, like Ruth says, I can almost smell them.

Hi Julie, I am following your advice and to make sure you get this reply am putting it here in the comments column for your lovely sweet pea picture. Is the Fabriano Tela already sized and coated? I imagine it must be to be called oil paper. Otherwise if using ordinary cartridge drawing paper etc., I would coat myself with gesso, left rough as this is the surface I like to work on at the moment. When I use acrylic I use Fabriano Artistico pads, these are also gummed four sides, 300gsm and have a nice surface. Also useful for gouache and ink work.

Julie - this is gorgeous. I love the composition, the colours and the background. I do love your flower paintings. Lovely ( and thank you for your comment on my pots ! )
