Lupins in the garden

This is great .You have caught the light coming from the top hitting the lupins just right.This works well with the darker foreground.

I don't think there IS a right or wrong way to use a painting knife/palette knife - I've seen so many approaches, and I like this one. Enjoying it is the whole point.

On this piece of work ... you've painted one of my favourite flowers and however you used that knife, it worked! You've captured the light at just the right angle and the depth of the undergrowth is superb.
