Very impressive Julie, your paintings always have something different to them you must have a very good imagination. Very striking.

This is lovely Julie, all those blues and the wonderful yellow tulips, a really striking painting!

Very eyecatching and different, takes it from just a vase of flowers to something special. Love those blues.

Super interest in the patterns surrounding your vase of tulips. What a good idea to paint this, I love those blues with the warm yellows in the flowers.

Many thanks for all your kind comments. It has now got me thinking about another collage I made - very similar but down in black and white - mmm! Watch this space!

Great texture and patterns. Lovely painting Julie.

Superb painting - you obviously have a strong sense of colour and are not afraid to use it. I love the whole design and the zing of the yellow against the blue is magic. Great work.

A superb painting Julie, very 3D with wonderful patterns filling the page. Well done.

Very eye catching. Love the yellow and blues together :)

Lovely paintings. The tulip onew are great. Very original idea for the background.

Great painting Julie - love the new collage too

I love collages and painting from them, or just working collages into paintings. This is really nice, and so is the one you posted more recently. Thanks so much for your kind comment on my painting yesterday. I love your portfolio.

This painting is a development from another piece of work that I did last year. The original was a paper collage and the image comprised small pieces of coloured paper torn from magazines. These were glued onto some sketchbook paper to make the tulip design on a patchwork background. This image was then scanned into the computer and reproduced as a greetings card. I bravely decided that I would tackle a painting of the collage! It took some time but I am pleased with the result.
