Julie, it 's fantastic! Look forward to seeing more!

Thanks Christine. I thought you wrote a good paragraph to go with your iPad painting for the Artist magazine. It is also encouraging to see an article about iPad art, though it would have been better if there had been more information about how the images were produced. That might encourage more people to have a go. Perhaps you could write one for them! Have you tried to print from your iPad? I downloaded a free app to enable this but my Canon printer didn't want to play.

Thank you Julie, I agree, it would have been interesting to see how Jonathan Lawler produces his paintings wouldn't it, I particularly liked the seascape. I'm sure it will grow in popularity, it has so much to offer, just hope it doesn't become too technical for me! I don't print from the iPad but add them to the photo option and then import to my laptop and print off from there.

Sound like good things these ipads, as you produce some great work with them Julie.

I'm always a sucker for a cat, beautiful vibrant painting. You have both answered the question I was going to ask - can you print fromn these iPad's?

Thanks Glennis and Carole. Like Christine, I have imported images from my iPad to my laptop computer and printed them from there. It is possible to print over Wifi directly from the iPad, but from what I have read on the web, it is seems to be predominantly Hewlett Packard printers that respond to the iPad. I did find a list of various printers that were meant to be compatible - our Canon was included in the list - the direction to print went from the iPad to the printer buffer but stopped there! The iPad is a great tool Carole - I have never regretted buying it for a moment.

Your friends IPad art may be brilliant but so is this. I use the Brushes apt too, you have inspired be might even put my index finger on a diet!

iPad art - I had a few days away last week staying with a friend. I had intended to take a sketch book but as with all good intentions ..... Instead I played with the Brushes app on my iPad, and also introduced by my friend to the programme too. Her first drawing was brilliant! Hope she will post it too.

About the Artist
Julie Bosley

I drifted into painting following four years of City and Guilds creative Embroidery where I found I was enjoying the back-up art work almost more than the embroidery. I did an A level in art and design in 2006, and then joined a life painting class. For the last three years I have belonged to a…
