night in the city by Jonathan Greenyer
again lots of differnt techniques involved, never satisfield until I have interfered with the natural drying process of my paintings, its where the excitement creeps in - bang. The main ingredient is acrylic inks. hundreds of dots of ink are placed in the pattern across the entire canvas. It was a rolling sequence of colours that repeated every 8th dot. They are allowed to dy a bit, then sprayed with water droplets. the colours run, and by holding the paiting horizontally and tilting it the colours run. After half an hour of drying much of the ink is bone dry. then I wash off the rest with a high pressure jet, this leaves the centres of each dot like an empty hole in the picture, the centres are white because the inks were not totally dry there (This picture can be re-created for sale UKP 150 contact me at [email protected])
