what a charming image. well your rescue worked here. i like the way you have put in the figures the scale seems right and i often think when i see figures on beach scenes that they have been put in rather small . the pastel on the wave highlights is also very effective.

Like the sky, lovely painting.

nice one . use a pastel to high light..thats a great way to do it ,,

Hi Angela, Carole. Alan, Thanks for the kind remarks. I really have had fun mixing pastel and watercolur. It's given me another avenue to explore. All I need now is the chance to get to London and make some sketches of some of the bridges. I want to try my hand at those! Oh well, when my legs heals! Thanks again John

very nice album and well done

Lovely sky here John and the two figures are just right. I wonder if you're working on anything at the moment?
