Lovely feeling of the space and openenss of this part of the world, and the old stone wall gives is a real sense of place. Very effective, as Robert says, John.

Ps just noticed its in pastel, in that case it is a superb work, to do all this without any paint is pretty awesome John, no wonder you managed such lovely detail in that stone wall, this must have taken you a long time, in fact, I can't imagine how much time you must have put into it, I know my pastel pets and the very occasional person, seems to take long enough!

Thank you everyone for your very kind comments. Ross, the painting took a couple of weeks to complete - it's large 70 x 55 cms - but good fun! Worked from sketches done on site. A lot of artistic licence on the wall and the wild flowers!!

Lots of interest and movement; evocative of the scene. Lovely!
