Northumbria castle and rocks

A lovely painting John. Just my opinion if you don't mind me saying, less of the white waves on left of painting would perfect it. I love the formation of rocks there, very well portrayed.

I agree with Carole, John. This is an almost perfect and very attractive painting. Waves near the shore fading to a calmer outer sea and the horizon line a bit leveller and that's it. A great job of a painting and the rocks are great.

I like the loose way you have painted the castle and the foreground rocks have just enough detail, it's a smashing painting John.

This must be the slowest response in the history of the site but thank you, Fiona, Chandra, Jim and Carole for your comments. I agree, Carole. Fewer and smaller waves on the left. Funny how you can look at a painting and not see the obvious until someone else points it out!
