What a fabulous composition, although I find clowns a bit scary!

Yes , Jill, clowns are always a bit ambiguous in their impact aren't they . In seeking an image for a vintage jack- in- a- box figure in particular (all the toys are genuine vintage ones drawn from across internet images) , I found many of the 'clowns' which popped out of their respective boxes truly scary - surely likely to traumatise, rather than amuse, a tiny child ! I had a wind-up train and tracks just like the one portrayed here in my distant childhood (I'm 70 now) - but crudely dismantled it , terminally, to see how it worked ! And yes, Sandra, the big mummy cat is intended to be keeping a lookout whilst her kitten plays with the clockwork mouse .
