A great dramatic piece!

I like this. I saw Dinah Washington live in a jazz club in London in1959. She came in with her pianist Beryl Booker, had all the lights turned up and switched off the microphone. What a voice, she was brilliant! Well done.

An entirely imagined concert by the late great "Queen of the Blues" Dinah Washington. I've collected together sundry images of great bluesmen to act as a backing group for the central figure - trying to create drama and a feeling of movement from the exaggerated perspective, strong contrast and shadow, and overall vivid colours of the image. 30 inches by 24 inches by 1.5 inches, on deep box canvas.
