I've done a pen and wash of this scene from a lower angle. It is indeed a super little harbour and one to inspire for sure. Yours is a lovely interpretation and it is nice to hear that you have such a connection with the subject - it always shows in a painting.

This is my favourite harbour. I always enjoy painting this scene. It is one of the new paintings for my 2015 Fife calendar. The picture was taking from the roadway looking down on the full harbour, which I used as a reference for the painting. I think I could almost paint this harbour without any reference materials as I have painted it so many times. Hope there are many more to come.
