well done with the rocks they look real, although the grass looks a little too green, but still a very nice picture.

Apart from anything else, this painting has allowed me to identify a drawing I did many years ago, but forgot to label .... it's been bothering me for 20 years or so, and I never felt able to turn it into a painting. Now I know where it is, so thanks! I agree that the green is a bit strong, or a bit on the acid side - would guess you've used a tube green, or a mix of pthalo and lemon yellow. Maybe try it with ultra and cadmium yellow, with a touch of red. The rocks are impressive, as are your seabirds. Is this oil or acyrlic?

Hi robert, glad I could scratch that 20 year itch. Its Acrylic. I just could not mix the correct green , but I will now try your suggestions. I have been painting for a couple of months now and am enjoying it. Would love to sit at a real scene and paint it, but just dont have the confidence, will have to stick to the photo's. best Joe
